Crafting Memories, Shaping Values:
Muslims Kids' Playful Journey
Why Play-Based approach?
Our Founder, Dr. Fariha Rub is a board certified physician. She also teaches parents about raising socially-spritually- emotionally strong children through her parenting course “Power of Parenting” and her social media platform @thedoctormommy. She incorporates similar play-based values for her 4 children at home and has experienced the most successful way to teach children about faith is to be in a nurturing environment surrounded by God-Loving and God-centered peers and adults and for a playful, joyful learning experience with high quality lesson plans and materials.
Play-based learning is an essential approach in teaching Islam to children because it engages them in a holistic and meaningful way that resonates with their developmental needs.

Play-based learning is an essential approach in teaching Islam to children because it engages them in a holistic and meaningful way that resonates with their developmental needs.
Here is why
Play-based learning holds significance when it comes to learning Islam:
Play-based learning encourages active participation, allowing children to become physically and mentally involved in the learning process. This hands-on engagement helps them absorb and retain Islamic concepts more effectively.
Through play, children can experience abstract concepts in a concrete manner. For example, using props or interactive activities can help them understand concepts like prayer, fasting, or Hajj, which might otherwise be challenging to grasp solely through verbal instruction.
Play-based learning often involves repetition, which aids in memory retention. Recurring play activities related to Islamic teachings reinforce concepts, making it more likely that children will remember and internalize them over time.
Play taps into children's emotions and imagination, allowing them to form emotional connections with the principles and values of Islam. This emotional engagement can lead to a deeper understanding of faith and a more profound connection with Allah.
Play-based learning supports cognitive development by enhancing critical thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making skills. When children engage in activities that require them to think creatively or make choices, they are actively processing and applying Islamic teachings.
Play-based learning often involves group activities, fostering teamwork, cooperation, and communication among children. These skills are aligned with Islamic values of community, compassion, and interaction with others.
Play-based learning allows children to simulate real-life scenarios in a controlled environment. By playing roles or scenarios that reflect Islamic values, children can practice making ethical decisions and applying Islamic teachings in practical situations.
When children associate learning Islam with fun and enjoyment, they are more likely to develop a positive attitude toward the religion. This can contribute to a lifelong passion for learning and practicing Islamic teachings.
Play-based activities can incorporate cultural elements from different Islamic traditions, promoting an understanding of the diversity within the Muslim community and fostering tolerance and acceptance.
The lessons and values learned through play-based learning can have a lasting impact on a child's identity and worldview. By introducing Islamic teachings in an engaging and positive way during their formative years, children are more likely to internalize these values as they grow older.
Incorporating play-based learning into Islamic education not only makes learning enjoyable but also encourages children to explore, question, and internalize the principles and values of Islam in a manner that aligns with their developmental stage.

Our Mission
Stimulating Creativity
Our mission is to provide both creative and stimulating intellectual, artistic and developmental experiences for all children.
Nurturing Environment
We believe all children deserve love, attention, nurturing and guidance that fosters growth and enthusiasm for lifelong learning.
Hands-On Learning
Children learn best through hands-on experiences. We provide a full range of activities such as art, cooking, field trips, science experiments and yoga.
Our Curriculum
Our robust and challenging curriculum helps children develop independence, concentration, a sense of order and self-discipline in a nurturing, supportive atmosphere based on individually-focused education and social development.
The curriculum is structured into four distinct syllabuses, all aimed at giving learners a firm foundation in their Quranic reading and understanding, Islamic knowledge, spiritual development and in grasping the Arabic language. Our curriculum includes Qāidah, Tajwid, Juz Amma (Learn to Read Series), Duas and Surahs (Learn by Heart Series), Islamic Studies (Learn about Islam Series) and Arabic (Learn Arabic Series) related publications.
We then employ board certified teachers who incorporate Safar Publications and create interactive lesson plans to keep students engaged then train our MLM teachers and volunteers to teach these lessons effectively.
Our Location
Mighty Little Muslims was established in 2022 with 65 students enrolled. The program was hosted at our founders home.
This year we are moving in our own facility!
This new location is over 4,000 square feet of space including several large sized classrooms, conference rooms and lunch room.
Located right off the highway within 15-20 minute radius from Lombard/Oakbrook and 10 minutes from ICN Ogden.

Lunch will be served at 12:00pm for Levels 1-4. No lunch is provided for Level 0. If they will be staying to wait for their older siblings, please let our admin and teachers know ahead of time and we will provide lunch.
Simple halal items such as pizza and pasta.
They may bring in their own food (avoiding any common allergens).
Supervision and Care: Younger children often require closer supervision and more personalized care, which can necessitate a higher staff-to-child ratio and increased staffing costs.
Facilities and Equipment: Facilities and equipment tailored to younger children's safety and developmental needs could require more investment, maintenance, and setup, leading to increased costs. We plan on having an immersive play- learning experience for younger children unlike any other Islamic institution.
Smaller Group Sizes: To ensure a safe and enjoyable experience, MLM might limit group sizes for younger children, leading to a higher ratio of staff-to-children and potentially increasing costs.
